The journey of discovering and celebrating the universality of human achievements must begin from charted path of familiar cultural settings. Darshana Jhaveri and company from India - a rarely seen
dance form by one of the Jhaveri Sisters whose names have become synonymous
with the dance.

participated in the 2007 Irvine Global Village Festival.
The Festival was held
at Bill Barber Park in Irvine and ran from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The Festival celebrated the
diversity of the citizens of Irvine and of Orange County.

ROSHNI - an evening of enlightenment
thru dance
featuring
PANCHAVAKTRAM - a 90
minute performance by 5 visually challenged dancers and 7 others
delineating on the Indian thought, that The Lord manifest to create the
"Pancha Tatvas" or the "Five Elements" in order to create the universe.
Classical dance forms of India
including Bharathnatyam, Kuchipudi, Yakshagana, Kathak, Perini and the
art of Bahuroopiyas, in all its authenticity of music and dance nuances
had been employed to represent the five different manifestations of Shiva.

charts the mischievous exploits of four young boys at the start of a school
year. Through their experiences in school and at home, they learn about
their place in the world and about friendship.
